Sam is a composer and orchestrator from Cheshire, UK, specialising in contemporary orchestral writing.

As a composer, he has worked on a number of award-winning films and animations. He has also written music for theatre, art installations and podcasts, including The Magnus Archives. Sam is resident composer for the award-winning production company Rusty Quill.

As orchestrator, Sam has had the privilege of working on a number of high-profile film and TV projects, including Mission Impossible: Fallout, Ad Astra, Black Widow and His Dark Materials. He has worked with composers Jóhann Jóhannsson, Lorne Balfe, Michael Price and Maurizio Malagnini.

Sam was conductor of the Portobello Orchestra based in Notting Hill, London, for 7 years, and has conducted for various ensembles and session recordings.
